Draft. Not in effect yet.
The final version will name the business that runs Power Hour and the date it takes effect.
Community Rules
Effective date: [publication date]
Power Hour is for a room of people enjoying an hour together. These rules keep it that way. They’re part of our Terms of Service.
Play responsibly
- Nobody has to drink. Water counts, and so does sitting a round out.
- Don’t pressure anyone to keep up. Power Hour never counts, scores or ranks drinking, and “sitting out” is always a fine answer.
- Alcohol-free mode is a toggle, for the whole party or just for you. Use it freely.
- Take a break any time. The queue will still be there.
- If someone in your party is struggling, stop the session and look after them. It’s entertainment, not a challenge to finish.
- Never drink and drive. Sort out your ride home before you start.
- Everyone playing must be at least 18 and of legal drinking age where they live.
Respect the room
- Pick clips your whole party will be comfortable watching.
- No harassment, hate or threats, and no content that targets anyone, in the room or outside it.
- Keep handles, photos, notes and prompt answers fit for the room: no nudity, no slurs, and no one else’s private information.
- Only upload a photo of yourself, or one you have the right to use. Anyone with the link to an uploaded photo can see it.
- Respect “no”. If someone wants to sit out or leave, let them.
Respect the music
- Clips play through YouTube’s own player, and YouTube’s rules apply.
- Don’t capture, record or redistribute anything played through the player.
Hosts run the room
Rooms are invite-only, so the host decides who gets the code or invite link. Only invite people who meet the age rule. The host can remove any song or person from the party, lock the queue, and archive or delete the party at any time. If things go wrong, the host should end the party.
Reporting a problem
- In the room, talk to the host first. They can remove a song or a person, or end the party.
- For anything a host can’t fix, like an offensive photo or handle, harassment, or a problem with the host, email support@joinpowerhour.com. Tell us the room name or join code, the handle involved and what happened. Screenshots help.
- If someone is in danger, call your local emergency number first.
- There’s no in-app report button yet. Email is the way to reach us for now.
When rules are broken
We review reports and act on them. We may remove content, end a party, or suspend or close an account.
